After the Covid-19 Storm Passes

Kalalau Beach-Tim De La Vega

Kalalau Beach-Tim de La Vega

As we get past Covid-19, know that at Kayak Kaua’i we  will continue to do our best to ensure the health of  clients, personnel, and guides

“Safety in no accident”, and we want the transition back to sharing the beautiful outdoors of Kaua’i nei, to be  in a responsible and safe manner.

We will be observing the following:

  • To streamline the check in procedure, will be encouraging clients to do as much paperwork as possible on-line before each tour.
  • All KK personnel and guides will be donning masks, maintaining safe personal hygiene, and observing social distancing.
  • At check in counter there will be a plexiglass “sneeze guard” barrier.
  • Social distancing will observed with client during check in and during the tour between kayaks and/or on the trail.
  • Bathrooms have soap available to all before and after each tour.
  • Clients will be required to provide and wear face mask.
  • Before and after each tour,  all equipment is sanitized.
  • Shop/office will be sanitized continously throughout the day

Caveat:  Covid-19 Logistics/Transportation

Once State/County Parks open, we are poised to start operating all our river and ocean tours with the following transportation caveats.

To ensure the health and safety of both guides and clients and to observe safe social distancing, clients will be responsible for *transporting themselves to the launch areas and back for the following tours and programs:

  • Hanalei Blue Lagoon Paddle & Snorkel
    • Meet at Hanalei
  • Na Pali Coast – Polihale: One day or Maverick multi-day sea kayak program.
    • Meet at Polihale State Beach Park.
      • Until further notice and trends becomes clearer: will not be offering the Ha’ena  sea kayak launch approach.

*Our Wailua Sacred Falls waterfall tours and rentals remain unaffected due to convenient check-in in and launching area at  our Wailua River Marina shop.

Guides will shuttle/trailer equipment separately and  clients can “convoy” to launch sites.

As thing open up where we feel can transport clients safely without compromising the health/safety of all involved, we will be back to providing this service.

Cancellation Policy

Kayak Kauai observes a firm 24 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations within 24 hours will receive no refund;(All Na Pali Coast kayaking tours or GROUPS of 6 or more require a 48 hour cancellation notice). Travel Insurance

Safety is no accident and on every tour we pay special attention to this fact. That said, travel insurance is not a bad idea, especially if a “dark cloud” decides to follow you. Find a company that offers medical, security evacuation and rescue services in the event of a medical or security emergency.
