Kayak Kaua'i one of the
exclusive outfitters for the
Wailua River!
Due to the conflicting multi-use of motor and ski boats and
the proliferation of kayak rentals that was overwhelming the resources
of the Wailua River, the State selected Kayak Kaua'i as one of the
exclusive outfitters for this river-- home to the Secret Falls.

Strike out on your own and rent a double and car top your
kayak from our Kapa'a office located moments away at the Coconut Marktetplace.
Forty five minutes of paddling can bring you to the South Fork
and the well trodden trail leading to the Secret Falls. Spend lunch by
the waters of the Secret Falls. Or bypass the North Fork and keep to
the South Fork for another 15 minutes and paddle by the romantic Fern
Grotto (Fern Grotto itself- is presently off limits to kayaks) to a
wide open meadow.
If you have the time and time determination, you can visit
both the Secret Falls and paddle to the end of the scenic South Fork
and take in
another river between Wailua and Hanalei, in one (maybe exhausting) but
memorable day.
You need to make a reservation
Kayaks are dispatched between 8:30 and
11:30 a.m.
Kayaks can be returned after sunset or by 8:00 a.m of the next day at
our Kapa'a Shop: off Hwy 56 in
the South Parking Lot of the Coconut
Marketplace- just
a half mile North of the Wailua River.

We are only permitted to rent 6 double kayaks per
day.
Kayaks plying the Wailua river must have special permits and are only
rented during daylight hours.
NOTE:
-- Kayaks kept overnight are due back by 8:00 a.m. of the next day.
-- Kayaks returned after 8:00 a.m. will be charged another days rental.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel 24 hours or more prior to the date of the event, you will receive a full refund If you cancel within 24 hours for any reason, you will receive no refund. If Kayak Kaua'i cancels due to inclement weather conditions, you will receive a full 100% refund..
Other Rivers
Convenient roof mounting of a rental kayak with foam blocks
and straps is also available at our Hanalei location for those who wish
to explore other areas such as the Hule'ia, Kilauea and Kalihiwai
rivers, which often have less activity.
Our Hanalei Shop has also a convenient dock allowing easy
access into the Hanalei River and Wildlife Refuge.
If upon your return home, you find you have flu like symptoms, please let your doctor know you were swimming in fresh water pools and/or recreating in muddy situations. The good news is that in all our years we have not had a confirmed case. The PDF File above can tell you more.
